AUGUST 17, 2010 Howdy, internet lookers. Lake of Stew has been all over the place over the last few weeks! We went to the west coast, and then we went to the east coast. And the touring isn't quite over yet - this coming Thursday 19 & Friday 20 we will be at les Pas Perdus in les Iles-de-la-Madeleine. Niiiiiice! So we went to B.C. for 9 days starting at the end of July, and we played shows from Vancouver on up to Wells and back again. Met lots of nice people, drove through lots of beautiful country - mountains, huge trees, lakes, forest fires. A bear came to one of our shows, not 50 feet behind the audience. We saw a few bald eagles. Passed one truck with a trailer whose engine had apparently caught fire and burned the whole shebang to the ground. Then we came back to Montreal for 5 seconds, and drove off to the Gaspe for a week, where we met some more nice people, and drove through more beautiful countryside - cliffs, oceans and rivers this time. Saw lots of gigantic sea gulls and at least one seal. And passed one truck with a trailer in the process of catching on fire. So listen, people on the roads: don't haul trailers bigger 'n your truck can handle! Otherwise you will definitely wind up with a flaming vehicle and stink up the whole road. So now we will fly off to the Magdalene Islands on Thursday, where we will probably see a lot of jellyfish, and more huge seagulls, and play two shows at les Pas Perdus - lookit the SHOWS page for deets! See y'all soon.
